National Geographic’s free online courses for educators equip teachers with powerful tools to transform their classrooms. Through these courses, educators build their own skills and knowledge so they can foster the mindset of a National Geographic Explorer in their students. National Geographic online professional learning courses vary in their lengths and schedules so that busy educators can find a program that fits their needs.
Courses are open to any educator from anywhere in the world who works with students in either a formal or informal setting. In many of our courses, learners can earn graduate credits through our university partnerships. Read more about our available courses below:

Parlons sciences - Quoi de neuf cette semaine?
Cette semaine, l’équipe de Parlons sciences a ajouté de nouvelles ressources à notre page STIM à la maison, en plus de rendre disponible une sélection de ressources sur la plateforme Wakelets, et de publier de nouveaux défis Merveilles du mercredi pour la maternelle à la 6e année. Nous explorons sans cesse de nouvelles idées et de nouvelles façons d’appuyer à la fois les jeunes et les éducateurs dans leurs apprentissages en sciences, en technologie, en ingénierie et en mathématiques (STIM).
En plus de nous suivre sur les réseaux sociaux et de visiter notre site web, nous vous invitons à partager dans votre réseau ces activités qui ont lieu en ce moment, ou très bientôt.

Les éducateurs/trices peuvent maintenant s’inscrire au nouveau Sommet virtuel sur la nouvelle littératie numérique qui aura lieu du 4 au 8 mai prochain. C’est gratuit et vous vous inscrivez quand vous le voulez, que ce soit à une seule ou à plusieurs séances !
Défis, Compétitions et concours
Défi Parlons sciences - en ligne
Les élèves de la 6e année au 2e secondaire (8e année) peuvent s’inscrire au défi Parlons chaque semaine sciences, ou encore pour toute la série de 8 défis. Le sujet de cette semaine? Les sciences de la terre !
C'est un vrai métier! Le concours se termine le 15 mai
Les jeunes peuvent remporter des prix en nous racontant un nouvel emploi qui, selon eux, qui sera créé dans le futur. Ils/elles peuvent faire un dessin, une BD ou nous envoyer un vidéo de leur idée.
Les élèves ont encore un mois pour explorer les ressources sur les carrières et les études postsecondaires dans un jeu-questionnaire quotidien. Ils/elles peuvent même remporter des prix en argent.

**UPDATE**
Thanks to funding support from the Government of Canada’s CanCode program, LTS are now able to offer financial assistance in the form of a travel subsidy pool to teachers who are travelling more than 150 km to attend the Moncton summit.
Partial coverage of travel expenses will be based on a percentage of total applications received and distance of travel.
To participate in the travel pool, educators will need to register for the summit by end of day Wednesday, February 19, 2020. As a reminder, the registration link for the Moncton summit is here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/84828467229
