In April of 2020, the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick will be recognizing 100 years of regulation in New Brunswick. To celebrate, they have implemented a one-year initiative called The Year of the Engineer and Geoscientist to promote the engineering and geoscience professions to New Brunswick Anglophone and Francophone students.
As part of this initiative, they are holding the APEGNB STEM Project Pitch Competition where students can submit a pitch video (30s to 2min) to be eligible to receive a $100 grant to help fund their STEM project.
Additional Prizes:
Grant winners will have their name included in a draw for additional technology prizes such as a tablet (for submitting a successful pitch) and a technology workstation including a laptop, printer and headphones (for participating in a STEM event with their project). They will also have a chance to present their project at the APEGNB 2020 Banquet on April 25th, 2020 in Fredericton.
Eligibility:
All students are eligible to participate in this amazing opportunity! (not limited to Science classes or only schools that hold science/STEM fairs).
Please visit their website: https://www.apegnb2020stem.com/ for information on pitch guidelines and submission details.
