Ms. Reid held an "Extend the Pattern" relay race in Phys. Ed. class. Coloured cup stacks were used to make a pattern at one end of the gym, students then had to run from the opposite end, grab two of the correct coloured cups from the cup stack bin, extend the pattern, then run back to tag their partner.
