District Chess Tournament

The 2018 Anglophone North School District K-8 Chess Tournament took place this past Saturday, March 17th at Rexton Elementary School. Once again, there was a great turnout of participants from across the District with 53 students registered and representing schools from Campbellton to Rexton and communities in between.

Tournament organizers and volunteers were very impressed with the high caliber of chess that was played throughout the day, along with the wonderful display of sportsmanship shown by the competitors.

Due to the strong quality of play, ASD-N has opted to send the top 3 students from each Grade Level to the NB Provincial Chess Tournament being held at Ecole Secondaire Nepisiquit (ESN) in Bathurst on Saturday April 14th.
